The folder that doesn't get opened in six years

What a needs analysis finds when someone finally looks at the figures together.

Almost everyone has a folder. Policies, accounts, a will from years back, bank papers. It's complete and it's stored. The problem isn't that something's missing: it's that no one has looked at it as a whole since it was put together.

A needs analysis is, above all, opening that folder once and reading it together. What comes in, what goes out, what protects whom, and what happens if an income disappears.

What surfaces almost always surprises: coverage that no longer fits today's life, idle money that costs every year, decisions made for a stage that has passed.

The information was all there. What was missing was reading it together, once.

You don't need to bring anything figured out. You need to open the folder with someone whose only job, that day, is to look at the whole.
